Mike grew up on that crawfish farm in Branch, and started out in the seafood business with his brother Mark in 1983 while still in college with a small crawfish farm. By 1989 he was harvesting, selling and delivering crawfish in the back of his pickup truck each day. A friend in Dallas provided entree to the Metroplex’s restaurants, and before long, Mike was making real progress selling his Louisiana crawfish directly from his ponds to restaurants in Texas.
Mike is a hands-on problem solver who loves to analyze all aspects of the business. He’s an avid golfer, and a true Louisiana outdoorsman: he loves fishing at Toledo Bend, and is also a great duck and goose hunting guide. But he never really stops working: he uses the time outdoors to clear his head and come up with work-related solutions. He lives in Crowley, Louisiana with his wife and three children.
Markk s the co-owner of Frugé Aquafarms, located in Branch, La. He is integrally involved in all aspects of the farming operation, including planting and harvesting the rice crop, as well as preparing and planning all facets of crawfish production.
Born and raised in Branch, he runs the farming operation with his brother Mike, who manages the sales and marketing side of the business.
At home behind his desk (but admittedly more comfortable working outside on the farm,) Mark, oversees all daily farming operations, including routine maintenance, planting, field preparation, and harvesting of both our rice and crawfish crops.
During crawfish season, he works closely with Mike and the sales team to make sure daily harvest numbers meet our clients’ needs.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, including dirt bike riding, duck, deer, and goose hunting, fishing and golf.
Ed is the Operations Manager at Frugé Aquafarms. (That’s a technical way of saying Ed takes care of pretty much anything and everything that keeps our rice and crawfish operations running smoothly!)
A native of Branch, La., Ed literally grew up on the farm: he was childhood friends with owners Mike and Mark Frugé, and has worked with them for more than 28 years.
During the rice harvest, Ed’s main job is overseeing production and making sure the rice makes its way from the fields to our storage bins, where it is dried and then shipped out. And when crawfish season takes center stage, Ed runs the dock operations and makes sure the day’s harvest covers our clients’ needs.
Ed, lives in Branch with his wife and two children. When he’s not working on the farm, he enjoys hunting and fishing, with whitetail deer hunting his favorite.
Courtney is the Marketing Director for Frugé Seafood Company, as well as cajuncrawfish.com, and Frugé Aquafarms. She creates all marketing materials, coordinates event planning and oversees advertising and promotions for both companies.
Originally from Coral Gables, Florida, Courtney graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Graphic Design. (She’s a very proud Gator fan very much at home in the middle of LSU Tiger country!) In addition, she owns and operates Frugé & Frugé Graphic Design, a full-service design company located in Crowley, Louisiana.
Courtney is also the resident prankster, using her computer and mad graphic design skills to manipulate photos of her victims for lots of office fun.
She lives in Crowley with her husband and three children. Courtney is frequently seen leaving in a cloud of dust to “taxi” the kids to their next function.
Carol wears several hats: Customer Service Rep, Website Content Manager, and she literally makes cajuncrawfish.com happen! She’s the chipper voice you hear when you call the farm in Branch, Louisiana, and she’s very helpful and knowledgeable in taking care of our customers’ every need. It’s not unusual for her to be the first to arrive in the morning and the last to leave in the evening! She’s been with us since 2005, and comes from Franklin, La. When she’s not reading romance novels in her spare time, you’ll find her working in her garden along with her two dogs, Slim and Oscar.
Richard grew up hunting and fishing in the marshes and bayous around Thibodaux, Louisiana (about 60 miles from New Orleans), so life on a crawfish farm suits him just fine.
Richard serves as our sales manager and is in charge of all seafood sales for the company. He spends most of his time between our home base in Branch, La. and Dallas, our main customer hub in Texas.
Whether it’s big pond-raised Louisiana crawfish, or incredibly fresh Alaskan halibut, Richard will take care of all your needs and make sure the product arrives fresh at your door – when you need it.
When he’s not closing deals, you can find him rooting on his alma mater, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns. And if Carey allows him a free afternoon without the two kids, he enjoys Army golf…. Left, right, left…
Pam grew up in Houston, Texas and has been with Cajuncrawfish.com for six years. She handles all of our crawfish orders, and takes care of lots of important office work on the farm, like entering bills, filing and cutting checks.
When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two Chihuahuas, PJ and Charo, as well as painting and dancing to the music of Homer LeJeune and the Cajun Kings!
