Early Christian used to celebrate the day on the fourth Sunday of Lent to honor the virgin mother Mary. The first ever Mother’s Day as we know it was celebrated in the US was on May 10, 1908.

Over 96% of American consumers actually take part in celebrating Mother’s Day; of these consumers, $671 million is spent on cards for these beloved mothers. ‘Meh, dats alotta cards sha!
