We would love to tell you that no matter what, nothing will go wrong, unfortunately sometimes that is out of our hands. Occasionally due to weather and other unforseen problems, fedex (or airlines) bump freight. That means your crawfish don’t fly, and don’t show up. It’s nothing that we have done wrong, it just happens. We do guarantee it though. This means that either we ship more crawfish to you, or we give you your money back.

At CajunCrawfish we never ship plain old field run. Field run are straight out of the trap. Some ponds run big, some run small and some are just not good. Field run are like Forest Gump’s “box of chocolates… you never know what you’re gonna get.”

Note: Crawfish do have a dark vein that you should remove before eating.*It will not hurt you to eat it*. In young crawfish, that vein will turn semi clear once the crawfish is all purged. But as they get older, the vein stays a dark color, so it makes it look like it is dirty, which usually is not the case. This is why it’s just easier to remove it. If you push in the tale when you are twisting, the vein will separate from the meat.
